ABH X AMREZY: Highlighter Review/First Impressions

Hello lovelies, so sorry its been so long. I’ve been super busy. But I thought I’d come back with something good for you guys. Which is why today I will be writing my review/first impressions of the stunning ABH X AMREZY HIGHLIGHTER.

Now if you haven’t heard about this latest launch/collab from Anastasia Beverly Hills, then girl where have you been?! It has been all over social media for months and when it was announced I’m pretty sure all hardcore fans of ABH and @Amrezy (Amra Olevic) lost their minds. I certainly did and I’m not even a hardcore fan. I do love all things ABH tho, I  recently got the PRISM PALETTE, and its stunning. I also grabbed the 4 set of mini lipsticks (available on http://www.beautybay.com – UK ) and I was really impressed with the pigment and quality.

Also if you know me (or have been following me on social media for a while) then you’ll know that I am obsessed with highlighter, it is by far my all time favourite beauty product. So when ABH announced they were going to collab with the stunning beauty guru @Amrezy (Amra Olevic) I’m pretty sure I squealed with happiness.

Now first lets talk about the price and where you can buy it. It is only available on the official ABH site at the minute. http://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com or .co.uk. The price is actually pretty decent for an ABH product, £29 or $28. I got this with free shipping in the UK too so I was pretty pleased with that.

As soon as this got delivered to me I went straight on to film a review (which will be up in the next few days so stay tuned) – Also a link to my latest YouTube video should be on the sidebar so go check that out. Anyway back to the highlighter, I  have already filmed my review but I thought I would write one to go along with it.

As you can see this highlighter did not come to play. It is stunning! and I am already obsessed. The packaging is gorgeous and it feels very luxurious. I love that the compact comes with a mirror too, It’s great if you’re on the go.

The colour, oh my goodness, this gold is everything. Also I saw some pictures on the ABH Instagram of this highlighter on several different models and it honestly compliments every skin tone. Which, I was a bit worried about at first as I am very pale and sometimes gold highlighters can make me look grey and washed out.

This one didn’t, and I was shook.

The colour seems to give off this perfect shine with just the right amount of colour and its beautiful. It is also good at being built up. So if you are someone who prefers a light natural glow then you can sweep this on lightly, but if you’re like me and need to always have blinding cheekbones then you can keep building this up to your desired intensity.

The limited edition Amrezy Highlighter is an illuminating powder that achieves the perfect glow. With the feel of second-skin, this ultra-smooth formula delivers a radiant finish and reflects a light, brilliant gold.

“I live for the perfect glow-it’s a constant focus in my makeup routine. I’m always looking for the most luminous glow with a natural, second skin finish. This collaboration with ABH brings my highlighter dreams to life, and I’m so happy to share this “sun in a compact” with my Rezy riders.”
– Amrezy

Shade Description – Light brilliant gold

The above is from the ABH website, and it does not lie. You definitely get the perfect glow. And it does feel like a second-skin, it doesn’t feel cakey or like you have a ton of product on your face which I love. It is also super creamy to touch and melts onto your face to create a more natural looking finish. It might just be me but I feel there is a very slight pink undertone to this also, it may just be on my skin but when it reflects the light it is so pretty and its for sure my new favourite highlighter.

It is currently available on both the US and UK sites, so if you want to slay your glow then I’d be quick because it wont be around for long. And if you’re still unsure, then let me just say, the value for money is really good as you get a large product, which is amazing quality. You also get something that will definitely work with your skin tone and something that is buildable so whether you’re a first time glow girl/boy or a glow queen/king, this will be you new obsession. Well, it’s mine anyway.

Let me know if any of you guys have this in the comments below, and if so whats your opinion?

Fenty Beauty: Review

Hello lovelies, so today I’ll be reviewing the highly anticipated ‘Fenty Beauty’ by Rihanna.

I was so happy to get my hands of some of these beauties. I got the ‘Pro Filt’r Foundation’ in 200 / ‘Match Stix Trio’ in light / ‘Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter’ in Trophy Wife.

First of all, I love that there are 40 different foundation shades. The fact that so many different people are gonna be able to use this brand is brilliant. Love how diverse it is. And the products are amazing!

Let’s start with the foundation. The colour match is amazing, and I was able to find my perfect shade. It’s lightweight but very buildable, has a medium to full coverage and it’s super easy to blend. I was so impressed, it’s definitely my favourite foundation I think I’ve ever used.

Also the packaging of everything is stunning. Next onto the Match Stix Trio. These are a ‘contour, concealer & highlighter’. These are super creamy and blend so well with the Pro Filt’r Foundation.

These are so pigmented and I think all the products are affordable for the amount you get. And the quality of everything is excellent. And the cream highlighter is so pretty.

Now last my favourite, the Killawatt Freestyle Highlight in shade Trophy Wife.

This highlighter is blinding! It’s super creamy and blends beautifully. I feel this would suit any skin tone, I’m very fair and it looks lovely on my skin. All the products are very versatile and I’ve used this as an eyeshadow aswell as a highlight. It’s very pigmented and a little definitely goes a long way, and I feel the price is excellent for the amount of product you receive.

  • Pro Filt’r Foundation £26
  • Match Stix Trio £46 (£21 singles)

Violet Voss x Laura Lee / Review & Swatches

Hello lovelies,
So sorry for being inactive lately, I’ve had so much stuff going on. But I’m back!! To show you a palette that I am obsessed with!

The Violet Voss x Laura Lee Eyeshadow Palette.

Now this beauty I got off beautybay.com, and they were kind enough to feature me on there website with this palette. I was so honoured that they chose my looks to be featured.

Anyway back to it, this palette is stunning! And they did such an amazing job with it. The colours are so pigmented and blend beautifully. And the range of colours are beautiful. You can create endless looks with this.

I picked this up for £40, and I personally think that’s really decent because the quality is amazing. And the overall look of the palette is stunning.

Now I played around with this and created a look that I hope you’ll love as much as I do.

The greens were calling my name, and also the range in this palette is amazing, you’ve got mattes, shimmers and duo chromes. Am I am obsessed with duo chrome colours.

Overall I was super impressed with this palette. The colours are stunning and the packaging is super pretty.

Farsali: Rose Gold Elixir

Hello lovelies, sorry for not posting in so long, I’ve been extremely busy lately but I hope to get back into regularly posting very soon. So today I’ll be showing you a new purchase of mine. “Farsali : Rose Gold Elixir” – 24K Gold Infused Beauty Oil.

I purchased this off beautybay.com

Now this little thing retails for £50, which, I know, is kind of pricy for a beauty oil. This one however, is meant to be one of the best oils around, loved by bloggers, Mua’s & youtubers alike.

Now on beautybay.com it states that this product is :
A multi-use, moisture rich face serum.

Coveted by beauty gurus worldwide, the iconic Rose Gold Elixir can be used to tackle dry skin, hyperpigmentation and fine lines on the face and lips. Mix it with your favourite skincare to boost hydration and radiance, add a few drops whilst blending your foundation for improved luminosity or add a drop to revive dehydrated products – the possibilities are endless with this Instagram famed elixir. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, the serum leaves skin glowing with health and feeling silky smooth.

  • Linolenic Acids, Vitamin C and Vitamin A – Provide hydrating nutrients.
  • Rosehip Oil – Helps to tackles hyperpigmentation and fine lines.
  • 24k Gold Flakes – Leave the skin with a radiant finish.
  • Lemongrass and Orange Peel – Deliver a citrus scent.

I’ve only used this product once but I can definitely say that the smell is a lovely citrus one. Also the texture is not like facial oil, it’s more like a serum, which I really like. It did leave my skin feeling soft and glowing.
I’m hoping to see a difference in my skin in regards to lines and discolouration in the next few weeks so I will keep you all updated.

Silicone beauty sponge : Review

Hello Lovelies, so today I’ll be doing a review on one of the most sought after beauty products in the last few months, the silicone beauty sponge.

I got this pack of 2 sponges from ‘Primark’ for £2. I am honestly not sure of the origin of the silicone sponge so I wasn’t able to go online and order from there. So I did I the next best thing and got some from my local store for cheap beauty deals.

Now obviously I was a bit skeptical at first, because for me, I use a beauty blender whenever I do my makeup, I use it for my foundation and concealer. So I was a little worried that the silicone sponge wouldn’t be able to evenly distribute the product as well as a sponge because, well, it’s silicone.

It was quite cool to finally get my hands on them tho, as they have been all over social media these past few months. And I’ve seen countless bloggers and celebrities rave about the silicone sponge, so obviously I had to try it out for myself.

Now when I first held the sponge it was quite strange, just because I’m used to my sponge beauty blender, and the silicone sponge is kinda squishy and bendable.

Which I thought was pretty cool, and might make it easier to get in those hard to reach places like the inner corners of your eyes.

I was kind of right.

The silicone sponge was good at getting in those hard to reach places, it didn’t however, blend that well, for me anyway. I used my usual primer (Benefit: Pore fessional) and my fave foundation (Tarte: Hybrid Gel Foundation). I never usually have problems blending my foundation with my usual sponge, however the silicone sponge made it a bit difficult. You have to wipe and tap your face to evenly distribute the product.

I found it quite difficult to blend my foundation using the silicone blender. I felt like it just moved my makeup round my face, not really blending it in, I ended up going back in after my sponge and blending it all out. I did find tho that I used less product. And I like the fact that the silicone blender is more sanitary than a beauty sponge. I just used a makeup wipe to clean it and it was like it hadn’t been used. Which is great as it doesn’t hold bacteria like a normal sponge would.

So my personal opinion is that it’s decent to use if you don’t want to waste product, and it’s very easy to clean. However i found it a bit difficult to blend with. I think the concept is cool tho, and it obviously works for some people so I think it’s definitely worth trying out.

Let me know if you’ve got the silicone sponge and let me know what you think I’m the comments.

Pure Glow & Bronze: Highlighting Palettes

Hello lovelies, today I thought I’d just do a quick post about these two amazing highlighter palettes that I picked up the other day.

These two beauties are called ‘Bronze’ & ‘Pure Glow’, I bought them from a shop in the U.K called Primark. I’ve always been a fan of primark because they always have such low prices on everything. These palettes were no exception! The ‘Bronze’ palette cost £4 and the ‘Pure Glow’ was £5! I was shook at how cheap they were, and for the size of the palettes too. Anastasia Beverly Hills eat your heart out.

Look how amazing these are!!

The glow is insane, and I really can’t get over the price, I would definitely recommend these if you’re someone who loves a good glow, and if you’re someone on a budget. I couldn’t wait to swatch them, and I was not disappointed.

Look at that glow! I’m obsessed with these. I definitely think they are worth buying, if you want a nice glow, and they feel super creamy and velvety. They don’t feel powdery at all which Is great. They apply really smooth and the glow is blinding.

I think ‘Pure Glow’ is my favourite of the two, just because My complexion is quite fair, and I feel like some of the shades in the ‘Bronze’ Palette may make my face look a litter ‘dirty’. However if you have quite a deep skin tone then I think the ‘Bronze’ palette would definitely compliment that very well.

Let me know if any of you guys have these, and let me know what you think in the comments.

That’s all for now lovelies.

Highlighter : Skin Kiss in Golden Kiss by Makeup Revolution

Hello lovelies, so today I’m gonna be showing you all this beautiful highlighter that I got from Tambeauty.com. It’s the Skin Kiss Highlighter in the shade Golden Kiss. (Check out my previous post for a review on the Tarte Cosmetics ‘Tarteist Pro Palette’)

Now, if you know me, then you’ll know I’m obsessed with highlight! I also did a review of Jeffree Stars Skin Frost a few posts back, so go check that out and tell me what you think.

The one I’ll be talking about today is one I bought online at Tambeauty.com, it’s from the brand Makeup Revolution. First of all, the entire website is amazing! The makeup is super affordable and it’s also high quality. I ordered some other stuff off there as well as the highlighter, and because I spent over £25 I got a free ‘surprise gift bag’ of makeup, which was worth over £23.

Now the highlight itself is actually a lot larger than I was expecting. It’s about the same size as a Jeffree Star Skin Frost. And this one only cost £5!!! I was so exciting when the package arrived, I couldn’t wait to dive in and swatch everything. And the highlight definitely didn’t disappoint.

I love how pigmented it is! And for only £5 I definitely couldn’t complain. The glow it gave was amazing, and the texture wasn’t powdery, it was quite soft and almost creamy. I would most certainly recommend this to anyone on a budget and to anyone who loves to glow. It can also be built up nicely, so if you’re new to highlight, then you could use this to just give a subtle glow.

If you’ve got this, or any of the other Skin Kiss highlighters then please let me know what you think of them in the comments.
